In the fall of 2022, Salesforce revealed its latest offering, Salesforce Genie, which enables users to generate a customer data platform (CDP) that is compatible with Salesforce. By utilizing Mulesoft, it extracts data from various sources and consolidates it into Salesforce, allowing you to obtain a comprehensive overview of your data subject.
A significant number of customers also use AWS, which includes the Redshift OLAP database. These customers already possess a data warehouse that they desire to incorporate with Salesforce, provided they can retrieve the data to utilize.
With CapStorm there is a way. In Episode 20 of Data Unleashed, Drew tells you how you can replicate your entire Salesforce data model from Salesforce’s underlying Oracle database into a columnar Redshift database. All within three to five minutes and behind your firewall. This gives you the data autonomy you need when making business decisions.

Hi, my name is Drew Niermann and you’re watching Data Unleashed, the video blog series dedicated to helping you get more out of your investment in Salesforce.
In the fall or winter of 2022, Salesforce announced the release of a new product at the time they had called it Genie, we are now learning it’s Data Cloud or basically a way to create a CDP customer data platform that is native to Salesforce.
From what we understand today. It’s basically a layer of Mulesoft pulling data from many aggregated sources into Salesforce to visualize a 360-degree view of a data subject.
Now, many of the customers that I work with every day are also leveraging AWS very heavily, and particularly the OLAP database known as Redshift. So for many Salesforce customers, they already have some sort of data warehouse or ODS that they want to integrate with Salesforce, if they could just get the data out of Salesforce to use for integrations, analytics, ETL, data enrichment, etc.
With CapStorm, there is a way to replicate the entire Salesforce data model from Salesforce’s underlying Oracle database into the columnar Redshift database within three to five minutes of real-time, such that it’s behind your firewall, and you also have autonomous control over that replica of Salesforce at all times.
