Can you tell us a little about your background?
I grew up in Roswell, Georgia, but spent the last 12 years living in the Midwest after attending Notre Dame for college and grad school. I made the short journey over to Chicago after graduation and worked for a large grocery retailer, managing five stores on the south side of the city. I moved back to Atlanta six months ago and am living in the Riverside neighborhood alongside many of my childhood friends.
What is something unique about you (a fun fact) that few people are aware of?
I won the GA State High Jump Title… as a 10-year-old. Once more kids joined, I wasn’t anywhere close to the top.
If you were trapped on a deserted island, what are three items you would bring with you?
Extra food, a speaker, and a surfboard. I don’t do well when I’m hungry, and I’d like to have good vibes and pick up a hobby while I’m there.
What is your favorite pastime?
Being active. I love to spend time outside playing sports, going for a hike, or working out.
If you could be any real person from any time period, who would it be and why?
Neil Armstrong. I can’t imagine how it must have felt to be the first person that deep into space and achieve something as incredible as walking on the moon; I’m sure in spite of the immense fear that he and the other astronauts must have felt.
How did you get started in your industry?
I began working as a partner development manager two years ago on the AWS partnership team at a hardware and third-party maintenance company.
What’s been your most interesting job so far?
Swim Coach/ Swim Instructor – taught kids aged 4 to 18 on how to swim and perfect their stroke. This was my first job but it combined my passion for swimming and helping others. Spending time outside by the pool most days was an added bonus.
What drew you to CapStorm?
The people. I heard a lot about the special group of people here and the camaraderie around the office. It’s bore itself out so far; everyone is extremely kind and has been immensely helpful in the first few weeks.
What advice would you provide to someone interested in your field?
Don’t be afraid to grind. Success isn’t going to happen overnight and it’s important to focus on the process. Once that’s perfected, results will come.
What are your goals for the next six months?
